Order your 2017-2018 yearbook by April 13th. Orders are $45. See Mrs. Sprecher with cash or check made out to KHS Yearbook. If you can't remember if you ordered at registration or not, just check with her first.

Deadline for local scholarships is April 9th


The Knoxville Education Association Scholarship is awarded to a senior student who plans to study and pursue a career in the field of education.  When a senior student applies for this scholarship, their application is reviewed and narrowed down by a committee of teachers in the KEA. $500


Presented to a senior who will be attending Carl Sandburg College in the fall.  They must have minimum GPA of 2.5

Selection is based on involvement in high school and community activities.  Preference is given to customers of Tompkins State Bank.


The Sons of the American Legion is a patriotic organization based on the support of veterans and their families through the policies of their parent organizations, The American Legion.  We are proud to offer a two year $1,000 scholarship to a KHS student who plans to attend CSC in the fall. Criteria is based on patriotism, citizenship, leadership, and financial need.

The "Pete and Sue" Unger Memorial Scholarship is to honor their dedication and service to Masonry and the order of the Eastern Star. Pete served as master of the lodge and with Sue, served as worthy matron and worthy patron of the local order of the Eastern Star Chapter. Upon his death, Pete bequeathed money to Pacific Lodge #66A.F.A.M. which has been invested for upkeep on our building. This $250 renewable scholarship is funded by this investment. All graduating seniors in District #202 with a GPA of 2.8 or better are eligible for this scholarship.

The Jack P. Ghitalla Memorial Scholarship is to honor Jack's lifetime of service to our Masonic Lodge as well as to his family and church. Jack served as master of the lodge for many years and was our lodge secretary. Jack upheld the basic Masonic tenets of brotherly love, and truth. This $250 renewable scholarship is funded by donations of members of Pacific Lodge #66 A.F.A.M. Masonic Lodge in Knoxville. All graduating seniors in District 202 with a 2.8 GPA or better are eligible for this scholarship.

The scholarship will be awarded to a student who wished to pursue a career as a veterinarian or a path in music. The applicant must have a need for financial assistance, have a 2.5 or greater, and exhibit a serious dedication and compassionate concern to family and friends. They must also write an essay describing “The importance of family, and how music and animals can change people’s lives.”

The Carl Sandburg College's mission is to provide all students with opportunities for success. Part of making education an opportunity is making it affordable.  Thanks to our generous donors, Carl Sandburg College Foundation is able to award over $100,000 each year in scholarship dollars to Sandburg students. High school, adult learners and returning students - everyone is eligible to apply. A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required, unless a scholarship criteria specifies higher.

Juniors: Attend Camp College!

Camp College is a FREE 4-day, 3-night program designed for rising seniors (juniors entering their senior year). Students will be exposed to a variety of college-related topics and learn first-hand from college admissions professionals and high school counselors. Campers will gain valuable skills and tools they can use to enhance their own college search, application, financing, and selection process.

The Ray A. Kroc Youth Achievement Award was designed to honor a senior who demonstrates the characteristics exemplified by Ray A. Kroc: Persistence, determination, hard work and excellence. Students who are employed by McDonald’s are eligible to apply for this award. The applicants are evaluated by a committee of school district officials on the grounds of citizenship, leadership, scholarship and sportsmanship. The recipient is a student who has earned the respect of peers and teachers alike. Each student selected receives a medallion and a certificate.

Helen H. Wetherbee Nursing Scholarship: (Due March 15)
Students accepted into a school of nursing or currently studying under a nursing program are encouraged to apply for the Helen H. Wetherbee Nursing Scholarship. This scholarship is open to Knox and Warren County area students. Cole Steele Memorial Scholarship: (Due March 15)
Students at Knoxville High School are encouraged to apply for the Cole Steele Memorial Scholarship. Applicants must be a Knoxville High School Senior interested in pursuing an education in a vocation program. Students having a background or experience in agriculture will be given additional consideration.
